See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
An impressive Grade II listed red brick building dating from 1879. The original 1807 pub was across the road where the former gas offices now stand. The pub name is in mosaic above the door and a carved Royal Arms is situated high above this. The entry corridor passes a decent sized snug. The main lounge is on the right which is an oval room with the main bar. Another corridor off to the left leads to the beer garden. The upstairs room is host to film shows and music and is home to Studio Salford a voluntary art and performance group. The snug is host to a popular knitting club on Monday evenings.
