A first-rate example of a traditional Victorian Salford street-corner local, this pub is one of the last survivors of its kind. Extended into the adjoining property many decades ago, but otherwise almost unchanged. The surrounding area is undergoing extensive residential development. This tiled marvel comprises a lounge to the left and a vault, plus a pool room at the rear, all served from a central bar. The walls are adorned with photographs and memorabilia of Manchester United and the Munich Air Crash. There is a collection of pictures of now closed and demolished local pubs.
